Update #2 from our agency

Dear BFAS Families,

Firstly, we would like to thank all of you who persistently and fervently pray for our organization.  We fully believe that James 5:16, “The prayers of a righteous man avails much”

As we have already notified all of those immediately affected by the  previous 8 week processing time requirement for embassy appointments, the embassy has notified our agency that the 8 week ruling is no longer in effect for Better Future Adoption Services. During our meeting with the embassy on Monday March 08, 2010, the embassy stated that they have investigated  all of our current cases filed for an embassy appointment and  that they were all found to be “cut and dry.”  

However, we are honored to announce that the embassy will continue to partner with us in thoroughly investigating all adoption cases. Instead of requiring 8 weeks to review files, the embassy will review each case immediately after it is filed and will notify us of the allotted appointment after review.  Do note that this is to assure that you will be confident that your child is properly and legally relinquished.
